While we may not be able to travel to beautiful wine destinations this summer, we are bringing you a virtual wine getaway to Greece through our September Wine Wisdom series! Join us as travel from North to South exploring wines from:

• Macedonia (Naoussa Xinomavro)

• Sterea Ellada (Chalkida Malagousia and Attica Savatiano)

• The Pelopennese (Nemia Agiorgitiko and Mantinia Moschofilero), and 

• The Cyclades (Santorini Assyrtico) 

Wine Wisdom is a 3-week series, in which we will taste two wines per week. There will be a WSET-style theory lesson on each wine, followed by a tutored tasting, and then an open question and answer period.

The series is suitable for all student levels – beginner to WSET Diploma. While we will include great detail about each wine (grape, region, climate, geography, topography, viticulture, and winemaking) we will ensure that even students just starting out do not feel overwhelmed.

• $175 for three (3) live sessions + a recording of each, and a gift certificate to Market Street Wine in Charlottesville for six (6) full-size bottles of wine. Pick up in Charlottesville or at VAWSA in Richmond will be available. (Shipping statewide in Virginia is extra)  

• $85 for three (3) live sessions + a recording of each, and six (6) sample-size (2 oz) bottles of wine (only available for pick up in Richmond, Virginia)
