EWA is the only centre for Scotch whisky education approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. This makes EWA's certifications the only formal professional qualification in the world for Scotch Whisky.

The Certificate in Scotch Whisky is a self-paced online course that takes approximately 10 hours to complete. As you work your way through a series of interactive exercises, videos, and pop quizzes, you'll discover more about the history and business of Scotch before covering the entire production process, from raw materials to distillation, maturation, and bottling.

This course is suitable for whisky connoisseurs as well as the curious, and is a stepping stone to the prestigious Diploma in Single Malt Whisky, which EWA will begin offering in an online format in 2021.
